SACHEM BUILDING SOLUTIONS™ AND STRAMIT USA BRING GAME CHANGING CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL TO INDIAN COUNTRY

Sachem Building Solutions™, a division of Alekson Native American Enterprises LLC and Stramit USA announced today that they have signed an Agreement granting Sachem exclusive representation of Stramit CAFboard™ in Indian Country USA and the First Nations of Canada.

Stramit’s process combines traditional light gauge framing with a proprietary and sustainable Compressed Agricultural Fiber (CAF) thermal insulator to yield Stramit CAFboard™, an environmentally friendly construction material that can replace traditional building materials such as fiberglass insulation, gypsum board, medium density fiberboard, particle board, and sound-proofing panels in a wide-range of commercial and residential applications.
Stramit CAFboard™ is a sustainable construction material that is load bearing, structurally strong, non-toxic, carbon-negative, mold and pest resistant, energy-efficient, highly sound absorbent, nearly fireproof and most importantly 100 percent organic without any of the VOCs found in many traditional building materials.
“We are excited to be working with Stramit USA to bring this opportunity to Indian Country. There are more than 200,000 housing units required to fill the immediate needs of Indian Country,” comments Jim Alekson Sachem’s CEO. “We believe the unique characteristics of Stramit CAFboard™ can be used to fill this need. We have begun reaching out to modular housing designers to incorporate our renewable energy technologies in self-sustaining housing packages that can be self-erected with minimal construction knowledge.”
“We are pleased to be working with Sachem Building Solutions™ and Native American Communities,” said Tim Evans, Stramit executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Many traditional construction materials contain unhealthy levels of formaldehyde and other toxins. Additionally, many building materials are highly flammable, are poor heat and sound transfer barriers, and generate significant construction site waste that is deposited to landfills. We believe Stramit CAFboard™ is the perfect solution to overcome all these building-related problems.”

  1. Congratulations on this tremendous initiative! It makes so much good sense that a 100% Native American enterprise should use Stramit CAFboard, a 100% natural material, to provide housing and other buildings for Indian Country. This is a splendid example of the use of a waste organic material that many areas of the world will do well to adopt. Andrew Brooker, London, England
